Before anything else, try quitting caffeine. I started having this problem about 18 months ago. It was pretty much debilitating all day. I am 62 and still trying to play tennis for example. I was willing to try anything so I cold turkey quit coffee and tea. It was like turning off a faucet. Over the last couple months my eyes are back to normal. Mine were not too severe e. g. sluggishness and difficulty concentrating, but well worth it.
