why does my cat pee in the bathtub

why does my cat pee in the bathtub

Lately, my cat has developed a strange habit. Twice allready, he has peed into the bathtub, right on top of the drain. Granted, he could have chosen much worser places to do this, but still its weird. Most of it goes down the drain, so clean up is not a problem. It is not like spraying, cause he does it in mid-sitting position and it goes down, just like he does in his litter box. I don't think its health-related cause he spends like 15-20 minutes there sniffing the bathtub in and out, like real active sniffing, and then just goes to the drain and pees and looks at me with the same whats-your-problem stare as if he is in his litter box. ...

why does current flow from positive to negative

why does current flow from positive to negative

From the standpoint of Physics, it s negative to positive. The particle responsible for electricity, the electron, has a negative charge. In, for example, a battery, the negative terminal has an excess of electrons and the positive terminal has a deficit. When the two terminals are connected, the electrons begin flowing from the negative to the positive (then back to the negative, internally in the battery). From the standpoint of electronics, however, it doesn t matter. You can imagine the electricity flowing from negative to positive or from positive to negative, and (in every case that matters to electrical engineers) you ll get the same results every time. This is why some applications to electronics were discovered even before the charge of the electron was known, and why many

why do plant leaves turn brown on the edges

why do plant leaves turn brown on the edges

Brown leaf margins have other causes, including excess fertilizer when the symptom occurs in houseplants. Houseplants generally do best with monthly fertilizing in spring through fall, with one-half the recommended fertilizer strength used. For example, dilute 1/2 teaspoon of liquid houseplant fertilizer, instead of 1 teaspoon of it, per 1 quart of water. The appearance of a white crust on a houseplant's potting soil or container is a sign of excess fertilizer salts; four times in one hour, water the plant until the water leaks out its container's drainage hole to leach the excess fertilizer salts from the container and soil. ...

why do we sweat when we are sick

why do we sweat when we are sick

Med student here. Sweating is what happens towards the end of a fever. I m going to try to explain the science behind what a fever is. Warning - it s not exactly ELI5, but there s no other way, really. Your body temperature is controlled by a part of your brain called the hypothalamus. Normally, the hypothalamus keeps your body temperature set at a specific temperature like a thermostat. There are molecules that get produced during inflammation and illness called prostaglandins and cytokines. They go to the hypothalamus and they tell the hypothalamus to raise the set temperature, so they raise the thermostat temperature. ...

why does my car shake when i apply the brakes

why does my car shake when i apply the brakes

One of the most important parts of any car is the braking system. If you ever sense that something just isnвt right while braking, it is always a good idea to have your car inspected for problems right away. Itвs too dangerous to risk any issues while stopping your car. Sometimes brakes make strange sounds or vibrations during application. It could be nothing major, but itвs usually not worth taking a chance on. If your car shakes when you hit the brakes, it is likely because your rotors have become warped. Rotors can become warped due to general wear and tear on your vehicle. Manufacturers have specifications for how thick your rotors should be and when rotors become too thin, they tend to warp easily. Besides general wear and tear, rotors can become warped if youвve had your brake pads

why do we have to manage knowledge

why do we have to manage knowledge

I have been asked to write this piece by someone who was not entirely familiar with the knowledge management (KM) discipline. Looking back at the work I presented on this site, I can see how a beginner, and particularly a manager new to the subject, might not easily understand why knowledge management is useful for their particular situation. I will keep this concise and to the point. Knowledge management is responsible for understanding: What your organization knows. Where this knowledge is located, e. g. in the mind of a specific expert, a specific department, in old files, with a specific team, etc. In what form this knowledge is stored e. g. the minds of experts, on paper, etc. How to best transfer this knowledge to relevant people, so as to be able to take advantage of it or to

Where did Red Wings octopus tradition come from? I grew up in the Detroit area, now I live in Utah. I know that at Detroit Red Wings games we had a tradition in the playoffs of throwing an octopus on the ice.
