why should women be able to vote

No matter what year it is, women should not be allowed to vote. Studies have even shown that men are more intelligent than women. Most women that I know have no clue about whats going on in politics. Letting women vote is like letting children vote since both most likely don't even know whats going on in the political world. No. Women do not the same obligation to society that men do nor are they held to the same standard. There prison sentences are much lower than that of men and they are not held accountable for there wrong doing. They do not need to register for the selective service and they are given provisions that men cannot acquire. If they where held to the same standard then I would agree that they should have the right to vote. However since this is not the case I do not agree with them having voting power. This is one of the anti-feminist positions which seems most contrary to what we all believe. We have all simply viewed it as so obvious that everyone should have the right to vote that it has never even been considered if there are legitimate reasons why someone should not be allowed to vote. The first issue to raise is the draft. The original idea of voting was that if you had such a stake in your country that you would be called upon to die for it then you had a say in whether your country should go to war and how else it should run. The fact is that women are incapable of being the ones to fight on front line warfare (another big topic) and if you accept this then realise that no one, including women, who doesn't have the draft should vote.

Secondly it is incorrect to say that women and men are equally intelligent and capable. Studies have shown that, whatever you think the reason is, women are very bad at making ethical decisions. Whatever the reason for this is it is simply wrong to allow people who have been shown to be bad decision makers have the power to sway entire countries. As women do in the west today. Thirdly I believe that no one should have the right to vote unless they are significantly versed in the issues. All these people who say they don't really know but vote one way or the other are potentially doing terrible things because of their ignorance. One reasoned argument - one vote.
Women are living beings. JUST LIKE MEN! I don't even know what to say. It's so obvious. Of course women should have equal rights with men (and animals, but that's a whole different topic).

Who said men are stronger, or better, or superior? It's like the whole humans/animals thing. We were created equal. Let us be TREATED that way. Yes, women should have the right to vote. Women should have the right to vote because all human beings are created equal. Women are affected equally by all political decisions. This should also give them the right to vote. Women are just as smart and capable as men in deciding what they want in their future. They should be able to elect whomever they want. Women gained the right to vote with the 19th amendment to the Constitution in 1920. With this law in place for nearly a century, the question itself is offensive. Women have historically supported the Democratic party by overwhelming numbers, 75 to 25 percent in the last election. This is a politically motivated question that should be ignored. Power to the women voter's. We have laws that protect the right to vote. Gender is part of the law that protects our rights. Women suffrage is important considering there are more women then men on the planet. The minority should not real the majority and vis-a-versa. We should live in harmony in a world everyone has a say in. Of course marron. On August 18, 1920 the 19th amendment granted us the right to vote. The first national suffrage organizations were established in 1869 when two competing organizations were formed, one led by Susan B. Anthony and Elizabeth Cady Stanton and the other by Lucy Stone.

After years of rivalry, they merged in 1890 as the National American Woman Suffrage Association (NAWSA) with Susan B. Anthony as its leading force. The New Jersey constitution of 1776 enfranchised all adult inhabitants who owned a specified amount of property. Laws enacted in 1790 and 1797 referred to voters as "he or she", and women regularly voted. A law passed in 1807, however, excluded women from voting in that state. And finally Rebecca Ann Latimer Felton (June 10, 1835 в January 24, 1930) was an American writer, lecturer, reformer, and politician who became the first woman to serve in the United States Senate. She was the most prominent woman in Georgia in the Progressive Era, and was honored by appointment to the Senate. Of course women should vote!!!! They should vote because if they men voted, they would pick someone who does`t know anything or someone who is stupid. But if a women got that right to vote they would pick someone who is smart and actuly kniows something. Thats why i think women should get the right to vote. She should have voting rights. Women must have a say in society. All humans are equal in the eyes of God and just because someone has certain body parts doesn't mean the can't have a say. Australia was the second country in the world to allow women to vote, which is impressive (that was random but I just needed more words :P)
