why does my pregnant cat keep meowing

I agree with the other 2 people who answered you. I had a foster pregnant mom (from a cat hoarder) and I had a spare room for her. Whenever I went to feed, water and give her lovin, she d let me leave. EXCEPT for the day she delivered. As I was leaving, she wrapped her right paw and leg around my ankle and let out a cry that just broke my heart and sent me a clear message, Don t leave me!!
She had 4 healthy little babies within just a couple hours and even let me help her by rubbing them and cleaning them up. It was my first pregnant foster momma and I ve been hooked ever
since. All my pregnant mommas want me in the maternity room. as we call it now. LOL Good Luck to you and to momma and babies.
Are you planning on spaying her? from~~ GrammaCarrie As the queen's pregnancy comes to a close, her hunger will increase as the kittens grow. About three weeks prior to her approximate delivery date, begin supplementing her diet with premium kitten food. The amount can be increased each week until birth and continued until the kittens are weaned. You can expect her to eat double what she ate prior to pregnancy.
Another physical sign that your cat is nearing labor is the change in appearance of her nipples. Around delivery, her nipples will grow larger and pinker, while beginning a milky discharge. Days prior to her labor, she may have a lower body temperature and exhibit nausea signs, including loss of appetite or lack of interest in food. Upon examination of her stomach, you may observe movement from the kittens inside.
