why does itunes slow down my computer

Long as your system meets the min system reqirements to run iTunes it shouldn't bog down the system. Most likly its a issue with some software interfering or hardware configuation. It also could be to many programs loaded up in memory and running in the background. You can try afew things, turn off or disable antivirus and/or other programs in the system tray (Lower right corner of windows where you see your time) To determine if one of these programs is causing the bog when you use iTunes.

Install updates/patches offered for your PC model on the PC makers site (Like Dell, HP, Compaq ect ect).

Im not so sure about Dell but I know my mother has afew HP's and alot of there models have issues with iTunes and require updates or patches they offer on there site to fix conflicts that happen with iTunes on there PCs
