why do we have to keep our environment clean

Environment is a place where humans as well as plants and animals live. Keeping it clean and neat is our responsibility. It is necessary to keep our environment clean because we get fresh air, reduce pollution etc. An unclean environment leads to a bad condition of a society, arrival of diseases and many more. With the ever increasing use of technology and industries flourishing the amount of pollution in our environment is increasing at a rapid pace. Keeping our environment clean is a very important part of our lives in these days. It is important to focus on this as we have to make sure that the environment is preserved for future generations. Water pollution and litter are considered to be two of the main cause of the environment being dirty. People most of the times throw litter and dust on the footpaths and roads instead of throwing it in dustbins. This is how slowly the litter accumulates and transforms into huge garbage. If this garbage is not cleaned, further it smells stink and welcomes the diseases and then people are affected by it. Thus, if we donвt keep our environment clean there would be many consequences or problems which will be faced by the society and people that live in that environment. * Donвt litter : В Please donвt litter in your society and roads. Set a good example. Use dust bi ns, it will help in keeping the society clean. If society is plagued by litter then consult with your society members and other authorities in order to organize an awareness camp. Work with them and volunteers to clean the litters. * Plant trees: We should plant trees in your society or we can also adapt any tree and take care of that.

Trees will help in controlling the pollution at least a little bit. Having lots of trees in your society will help you have fresh air for you and your kids, maintain good health, and with a beautiful green society you can inspire others to follow the track and save the city and environment. *Be eco-friendly: Restore water, use eco-friendly things, do not dump electronic gadgets etc. Be eco-friendly by using bicycle instead of cars that makes a lot of noise and increases pollution. *Recycle plastic materials: Donвt just throw away the plastic bottles or plates that you have used, but instead use them and recycle it for the betterment of the environment. Plastic takes years to decompose and is hazardous If the plastics are burnt or thrown away. So, recycle plastics. So, we should keep our environment clean and green for a smell-free, disease-free live. By implementing on it we can reduce pollution, get fresh air, live peaceful life without any problems. So, are you all from now going to keep your environment/surroundings clean? After a year of working long days, many people enjoy taking a holiday and travelling to other countries. On weekday evenings, Wat Butom Vatey park, Hun SenБs park and other public parks along the river are crowded. б People in Phnom Penh enjoy getting some exercise, doing some sightseeing and relaxing at those places, just as foreigners do. Besides those in the capital, there are many places in the provinces where local and international tourists can see wonderful attractions.

They can visit the ancient Angkor Wat temples, climb a mountain to see the waterfall at Chambok or swim in the sea at Sihanoukville. БClean city, clean resort, good serviceБ is the slogan produced by Ministry of Tourism, but Cambodia still faces some challenges before it can live up to that motto. Litter in the streets is one of the most important issues the government needs to take action on. Local people think nothing of throwing their rubbish on the roadway as they travel along; they seem not to care about spoiling the beauty of our capital city. Last month, in an attempt to keep the city clean, Phnom PenhБs Capital Hall launched a public awareness campaign on littering that included fines for illegal dumping. Although that announcement was made to raise awareness of littering, we still see piles of rubbish in the streets and at many tourist sites in the Kingdom. Often a resort looks very nice and its decor is beautiful, but the owner of the resort seems to be careless when it comes to rubbish, which is not placed in a proper bin. ThatБs a really bad image for foreigners visiting this country. Seeing, and smelling, piles of garbage will almost certainly create a poor impression. Some people visiting tourist sites seem as though they simply donБt care about the environment. We have seen people who, even though they knowб there are rubbish bins handy, still dump their litter outside the bins. This isб a terrible habit, and we would suggest that those people reconsider their behaviour. Tourism is the most important sector when it comes to increasing CambodiaБs income.

The KingdomБs tourist industry has just begun growingб again after the economic crisis of the past couple of years. On September 19, The Phnom Penh Post reported that the number of foreign tourists visiting Cambodia through the Poi Pet international checkpoint with Thailand had increased by more than 26 per cent year-on-year between January and August. Whenever we walk along the riverside in Phnom Penh, there is rubbish floating in the water. Some people throw garbage in the river without realising it can pollute the water, harming fish and other marine species. Having lived in Sweden, in northern Europe, for a short time, we know Swedish people do care about waste. To be honest, Sweden is the cleanest country weБve ever been to. While we were living there, we never saw any rubbish on the streets and we wondered where the rubbish collectors were. In our country, we always see rubbish collectors. We would suggest that the government and garbage-collection companies have an obligation to lift their game. They should operate more effectively than they do now. We need to improve Cambodia in order to compete with the neighbouring countries. Thailand, for example, has become one of the most popular destinations for international tourists. Every day on television, we could see public announcements advising people to behave properly and keep Cambodia beautiful by putting their garbage in a proper place. Young people can also play an important role by keeping their campuses fresh. If it starts with you, then things will definitely change.
