why do rastafarians wear the star of david

In the Kebra Negast King Salomon has the power to submit the demons, so that them works for him. But it's JAH that allow him to do that so no occult powers, only the power of HIS MAJESTY. You can find the star of Dawit (David) in many church in Ethiopia, the first that come in my mind is the church of Beta Maryam in Lalibela. The star of Dawit with the cross in the middle it's also the simbol of the Salomonic Dynasty of wich HIM QADAMAWI HAILE SELASSIE is the fullfilment and seal, so JAH as nothing to do with satan and mason. Let they say what they say.
There is one fact about religious symbols that people miss.

They aren t exclusive to that religion. No symbol is the exclusive domain of any religion,. There is one fact about religious symbols that people miss. They aren t exclusive to that religion. No symbol is the exclusive domain of any religion, unless it was originally designed by them. With the exception of a few, every symbol we see today originates from centuries ago and most likely has an original meaning totally different from current. The swastika does not have it s roots in the nazi movement. It is an ancient symbol used in many cultures.

It was adopted and changed slightly for their purpose. The inverted cross is used in Satanism (not commonly I might add). It was originally St. Peter s cross (google it for more info). The christian cross itself is a symbol of a roman execution method. They adopted the symbol as a reminder of something important to them. The pentagram is merely a geometric symbol adopted by pagans, wikkans and Satanists since it fits into their beliefs. The star of David is merely a star. The jewish faith no doubt adopted it ages ago for the same reason any symbol is adopted.

It is also used in kabbalah. The nazi s even used it as a method of identifying the jews. If you went into the history of any given symbol you would find that it most likely originates from a place that is entirely unrelated to the religion that uses it most commonly. The truth is that the only way a symbol can be exclusive to a religion would be to design it from scratch. It would probably eventually be adopted by someone else. I m not sure of the significance of the star of david in rastafarianism but I m sure that the founders saw something in it that worked for them.
